RENOFAST Single-Wall Chimney End Cap (Blind Plug)
Product Description
The RENOFAST bottom end cap is the terminating element of the chimney system, installed at the base of the vertical stack (typically on a tee). It is a sealed stainless steel "lid" that fits tightly onto the pipe spigot.
The main function of the cap is to block air access to the flue channel from below. If the bottom of the tee is left open, the draught will vanish, and smoke will enter the room. The plug restores the system's aerodynamics and serves as a base for collecting small amounts of dry soot.
Features and Application
- For "Dry" Systems: This element is ideal for sauna stoves and fireplaces with high smoke temperatures, where the formation of liquid condensate is minimal or non-existent.
- Important Distinction: If you have a modern boiler (gas, pellet) or the chimney runs outdoors without insulation, instead of a blind plug, you must use a condensate collector with a drain to remove moisture.
- Easy Maintenance: The cap is removable. By taking it off, you gain access to the channel for removing fallen soot or foreign objects.
- Design: The product is designed as a "female" fitting (widened part) that fits over the pipe end, which prevents external precipitation from entering the joint.

Installation Recommendations
For proper installation, follow these rules:
- Compatibility: The cap fits onto the bottom part of a tee or inspection unit.
- Fixation: To ensure the lid does not fall off under the weight of accumulated soot or due to vibration, it must be secured with stainless steel rivets or self-tapping screws. Additional reliability is provided by a locking band (if the design permits).
- Sealing: To guarantee absolutely no air leakage, it is recommended to coat the joint with heat-resistant sealant before installation.
- Access: Do not brick in the bottom part of the chimney permanently. Leave the possibility to remove the cap for periodic cleaning of the "soot pocket".
