RENOFAST Single-Wall 45° Stainless Steel Flue Bend with Inspection Hatch
Product Description
The RENOFAST 45-degree flue bend with an inspection hatch is a functional chimney component that solves two problems at once: it smoothly changes the direction of the channel and provides access for its maintenance.
Unlike standard elbows, this model features a built-in inspection opening on the outer side of the bend. This allows for mechanical cleaning of inclined chimney sections without the need to dismantle the system, which is particularly relevant given the complex geometry of boiler or fireplace connections.
Features and Benefits
- Aerodynamics and Convenient Access: The 45° angle creates minimal resistance to flue gases (unlike a 90° angle), whilst the presence of a hatch allows for the removal of soot that may accumulate at the turn.
- Space Saving: The element replaces a combination of a regular bend and a separate inspection tee, saving both space and budget.
- Airtightness: A special cap tightly covers the inspection opening, preventing air intake and smoke leakage into the room.
- Material: Manufactured from acid-resistant stainless steel AISI 304L / 316L (0.6 mm wall thickness), resistant to aggressive condensate and high temperatures.

Installation Recommendations
When installing, consider the following nuances:
- Accessibility: Install the bend so that the hatch cap faces the open space of the room. Do not block access to it with pipes or building structures.
- Sealing: Segment joints and the hatch insertion point require thorough treatment with heat-resistant sealant during assembly.
- Support: Inclined elements create an offset centre of gravity. The pipe must be secured with a bracket or clamp to relieve load from the turn.
- Joint Fixation: For mechanical strength, the connection of the elbow to other pipes must be fastened with rivets or a connecting clamp.
