Product Description
The RENOFAST 45-degree flue bend is a shaped component designed for smooth alteration of the chimney route. It is indispensable when it is necessary to offset the axis of the flue ("create a dog-leg") to bypass a ceiling beam, eaves, or wall protrusion, whilst maintaining good draught.
Structurally, the element is a two- or three-segment elbow with a socket connection. Due to the obtuse angle of the bend, flue gases pass through it with minimal resistance, which distinguishes it favourably from sharp 90-degree turns.
Application Features and Benefits
- Ideal Aerodynamics: Using a 45° angle creates significantly less resistance to the gas flow than a right angle. This reduces the risk of smoke spillage and minimizes soot deposition at the turn.
- Creating an Offset: Two 45° bends connected to each other (directly or via a straight pipe insert) allow you to neatly bypass any obstacle without losing channel airtightness.
- Versatility: The element is suitable for any solid fuel heating appliances (stoves, fireplaces) and is also used when relining brick shafts with curved channels.
- Reliability: Manufactured from acid-resistant stainless steel AISI 304L / 316L (0.6 mm wall thickness), resistant to high temperatures (T600).

Installation Recommendations
To create a reliable and safe assembly, follow these rules:
- Support: Inclined chimney sections create an offset load. The upper part of the pipe after the turn must be fixed with a wall bracket or clamp so as not to exert weight on the bend.
- Joint Fixation: To prevent separation during thermal expansion, the connection of the elbow to the pipes must be fixed with stainless steel rivets or a locking band.
- Sealing: Be sure to use heat-resistant sealant during assembly to ensure gas tightness of the seam.
- Cleaning Access: Although less soot accumulates in a 45° bend than in a 90° one, it is recommended to provide an inspection hatch before or after a complex section of the route.
