RENOFAST Single-Wall 90° Segmented Stainless Steel Elbow (Bend)
Product Description
The RENOFAST 90-degree elbow is a directional single-wall chimney component designed to change the path of the flue channel. It is used to bypass obstacles (beams, wall ledges) and to connect the outlet spigot of a boiler or stove to the main vertical chimney shaft.
Structurally, the elbow consists of several segments welded together. This geometry ensures a smooth turn for the flue gas flow, minimizing aerodynamic resistance and maintaining stable draught in the system.
Design Features and Benefits
- Optimised Geometry: We take aerodynamics seriously. Small diameter elbows (up to 130 mm) consist of 3 segments, while models from 150 mm and larger are made of 4 segments. This makes the turning radius smoother, reducing turbulence and soot deposition at the bend.
- Seam Reliability: Segments are joined by seam welding, which guarantees complete airtightness and resistance to thermal deformation.
- Custom Solutions: If your installation scheme requires a non-standard angle or an increased turning radius, we can manufacture such a part upon request.
- Material: Manufactured from acid-resistant stainless steel AISI 304L / 316L (0.6 mm wall thickness), capable of withstanding working temperatures up to 600°C.

Installation Recommendations
Using directional elements requires adherence to safety rules:
- Weight Support: The elbow is not a load-bearing element. The upper part of the chimney must not rest its full weight on the bend. Use wall brackets and clamps to offload the turning points.
- Sealing: Joints of segmented elbows experience increased thermal stress. Be sure to use heat-resistant sealant during assembly to prevent air leakage.
- Fixation: To prevent separation due to thermal expansion, the connection of the elbow to the pipes must be secured with stainless steel rivets or a locking band.
- Cleaning: Remember that cleaning a chimney through a 90° angle is difficult. It is recommended to provide cleaning access (inspection point) before or after the turn.
