RENOFAST Stainless Steel Chimney Inspection Door (Soot Door)
Product Description
The RENOFAST inspection door is a universal solution for providing access to flue channels. It is designed for installation in both modern steel chimneys and traditional brick stoves or fireplace enclosures.
Unlike outdated painted or cast iron alternatives, this door is manufactured from polished stainless steel. It is moisture-resistant, does not rust outdoors, and retains an aesthetic appearance throughout its entire service life, whilst ensuring the inspection opening is sealed airtight.
Features and Benefits
- Durability: Stainless steel grade AISI 304L / 316L is resistant to corrosion, high temperatures, and aggressive condensate. Ideal for external facade chimneys.
- Airtightness: The door is equipped with a reliable locking mechanism that presses the panel tightly against the frame, preventing smoke leakage or cold air intake into the channel.
- Universal Installation: The frame design allows the product to be easily secured in brickwork, aerated concrete, or casing cladding using anchors or mounting tabs.
- Custom Approach: Standard sizes are in stock, but we can promptly manufacture a door of any dimensions to fit your existing opening.

Installation Recommendations
For correct and safe installation of the door, we recommend:
- Frame Sealing: When installing the door in brickwork or concrete, be sure to coat the frame abutment with heat-resistant sealant. This will eliminate smoke seepage through gaps between the metal and the wall.
- Location: Install the door at the base of the chimney (for soot removal) or at turning sections where cleaning access is required.
- Tooling: Choose a door size that ensures convenient access for a hand with a brush or a vacuum cleaner hose.
