RENOFAST Stainless Steel Flue Draught Regulator (Stabiliser)
Product Description
The RENOFAST draught regulator is a device designed to stabilise and reduce excessive negative pressure (draught) in the chimney. Excessive draught often arises due to an oversized pipe cross-section, excessive chimney height, or strong wind gusts.
Installing a regulator ensures efficient fuel combustion and optimal heating system performance. Uncontrolled draught leads to fuel overconsumption and system overheating, while the stabiliser helps maintain parameters within specified limits, improving efficiency and safety.
Operating Principle and Benefits
- Mechanism of Action: The regulator is equipped with a flap featuring a counterweight. When the set negative pressure value is exceeded, the flap opens, admitting additional air from the room into the chimney. This reduces the draught via two factors: cooling the flue gases and increasing aerodynamic resistance to the flow.
- Precise Adjustment: The required pressure level is set using a rotary knob with a calibrated scale. The device maintains the set parameter automatically.
- Economy and Safety: Stabilising the combustion process prevents chimney overheating and reduces fuel consumption, eliminating situations where heat escapes into the atmosphere too quickly.
- Adaptability: We can manufacture adapters to install the regulator on a pipe of any diameter and type.
Technical Specifications
| Element Type | Draught Stabiliser (Mechanical) |
| Body Material | Stainless Steel AISI 304L / 316L |
| Diameter Ranges | 80 mm, 150 mm (others via adapter) |
| Certification | CE, EN-1856-2 |
*If you need a regulator for a different pipe diameter (e.g., 180 or 200 mm), we will manufacture the necessary adapter to order.
Important Recommendations
- Device Purpose: Please note that a draught regulator does not increase weak draught — it stabilises and limits excessive draught. To improve weak draught, it is recommended to use chimney cowls or rotary turbines.
- Installation Location: The device can be mounted on the connecting section between the stove and the chimney or below the chimney (on the inspection unit/tee).
- Operating Conditions: For the flap to work correctly, it is necessary to ensure free air access to the device (do not block it inside enclosures without ventilation).
