RENOFAST Stainless Steel Wide Flue Locking Band (75mm)
Product Description
The RENOFAST wide locking band is a reinforced version of the standard joint clamp. It features an increased metal band height (75 mm), which ensures a significantly larger gripping area for the connected elements.
This element is used in critical chimney nodes where increased mechanical bending strength is required, or for fixing connections subject to strong wind and vibration loads.
Advantages of the Wide Model
- Enhanced Rigidity: Thanks to the 75 mm width, the band acts like a splint, rigidly fixing the pipe alignment and preventing "wobble" or play relative to each other.
- Gap Bridging: If pipes were not joined fully to the stop during installation or the joint separated slightly during operation (up to 10-15 mm), the wide band reliably covers this gap, preserving channel integrity.
- Reliability: Ensures tighter socket compression compared to the narrow version, minimizing the risk of condensate leakage or air intake.
- Versatility: Suitable for single-wall pipes, shaped elements, and connecting outer casings of sandwich chimneys.

Installation Recommendations
- Where to Apply: Recommended for use on joints between the tee and the boiler, on inclined sections, as well as on high free-standing pipe sections to eliminate swaying.
- Alternative to Rivets: Due to the large contact area, the wide band provides fixation comparable in reliability to rivets, but retains the ability to disassemble the unit for maintenance.
- Sealing: For maximum reliability, apply heat-resistant sealant to the pipe joint before installing the band.
