Product Description

The RENOFAST chimney storm collar (also known as a rain skirt) is a conical protective element installed on the outer chimney pipe. Its main task is to seal the penetration node through the roof or the upper concrete slab (cap) of the shaft.

The storm collar works like an umbrella: it diverts rainwater running down the outer wall of the pipe, preventing it from flowing into the gap between the chimney and the roof flashing (apron) or inside the brick shaft. The element tightly hugs the pipe and is fixed with a tightening screw, acting like a clamp.

• Leak Protection: Effectively covers the annular gap around the pipe, preventing precipitation from getting under the roofing material or into the shaft.
• Shaft Ventilation: When installed over the mouth of a brick shaft, the skirt shape protects against direct rain but leaves room for natural air circulation, helping to dry the channel.
• Simple Installation: The element features a clamping mechanism. It easily slides onto the pipe to the required position and is tightened with a bolt, ensuring secure fixation without the initial use of sealant (although sealing the top seam is recommended).
• Material: Manufactured from stainless steel AISI 430 (0.5 mm thick), resistant to atmospheric effects and corrosion.

Installation Recommendations

• Installation Location: The storm collar is installed directly above the roof flashing (Master Flash or metal apron) or above the concrete shaft cover.
• Sealing: After tightening the screw, it is recommended to coat the joint between the upper edge of the collar and the pipe with weather-resistant silicone. This will prevent water from seeping under the skirt.
• Compatibility: Suitable for any round pipes (sandwich or single-wall) of the corresponding external diameter.
