Product Description
The RENOFAST rotary deflector (turbo-cowl) is an active draught enhancer that utilises wind energy to create negative pressure in the chimney channel. The rotating turbine head works on the principle of an exhaust fan, forcibly extracting flue gases and stagnant air.
Unlike static cowls, the performance of this device increases proportionally to the wind speed. Regardless of the airflow direction, the turbine always rotates in one direction, creating stable draught and protecting the channel from wind blow-back (back-draught).
Design Features and Benefits
- Draught Enhancement: The rotating bladed head creates a "pump" effect, making this cowl an effective solution for systems with weak natural draught.
- External Bearing: The rotation mechanism is located outside the hot gas stream. This protects the lubricant from drying out and reduces the risk of the bearing seizing due to overheating, extending the product's service life.
- Weather Protection: The dense arrangement of blades acts as an umbrella, deflecting rain and snow without creating resistance to smoke exit.
- Fitting Type: The standard design fits over the pipe (Female/Socket connection). If you need to install the cowl inside a pipe or into a sandwich cone, you must additionally order a connecting nipple (male coupler).

Application Recommendations
- Purpose: Recommended for ventilation ducts, gas boilers (considering temperature limits), and fireplaces.
- Limitations: Do not use on solid fuel boilers with high exhaust temperatures (over 200-250°C) and intense soot production, as this may lead to mechanism fouling and seizing. In such cases, it is more appropriate to choose a static CAGI anti-downdraught cowl.
- Installation: The device has moving parts, so it is strictly necessary to ensure vertical installation using a spirit level to avoid imbalance and noise during rotation.
