RENOFAST Single-Wall Rotary Flue Damper (Throttle)
Product Description
The RENOFAST rotary throttle damper is a chimney component for smooth and precise draught regulation. Unlike standard sliding dampers, this utilizes a rotary mechanism: a metal plate rotates inside the pipe around its axis, changing the usable cross-section of the channel.
This element allows you to effectively control the combustion intensity. By turning the handle, you can reduce the flue gas exit speed, switching the stove or fireplace into a "slow combustion" mode and preventing rapid heat loss through the chimney.
Features and Benefits
- Reliable Mechanism: The rotary design is less prone to jamming from soot and thermal deformation compared to sliding models. The handle position always visually indicates whether the damper is open or closed (parallel to the pipe = open, perpendicular = closed).
- Safety (LVS EN 16510-1:2023): The component design complies with strict safety standards. Even in the fully closed position, the damper ensures a minimum gap (opening area of at least 20 cm² or 3% of the cross-section), which guarantees necessary ventilation and prevents carbon monoxide accumulation.
- Industrial Solutions: For complex and industrial systems, we can manufacture dampers prepared for the installation of electromechanical servo actuators for automatic draught control.
- Material: The body and mechanism are made of heat-resistant stainless steel AISI 304L / 316L (thickness from 0.6 mm), resistant to corrosion and high temperatures.

Installation Recommendations
For correct operation of the regulation unit:
- Location: Install the damper within the first metre of the chimney, in an easily accessible zone, but at a distance of 20-30 cm from the boiler outlet to avoid critical overheating of the mechanism.
- Fixation: Turning the handle creates torque on the pipe. To prevent the element from rotating around its axis, secure the joints with rivets or connecting clamps.
- Sealing: During assembly, apply heat-resistant sealant to the connecting sockets to ensure airtightness.
- Maintenance: Periodically check for smooth operation. If the mechanism begins to stick, cleaning is recommended.
