SPNP Black Steel Chimney Bottom Cap (External)
Product Overview & Application
The SPNP black external bottom cap is a functional terminating element for the flue system, manufactured from DC01 black steel. It is installed on the lower branch of the tee and serves to collect ash and soot that fall down the vertical channel. The primary purpose of the cap is to ensure the gas-tightness of the lower part of the chimney and prevent condensate from leaking out.
Technical Advantages & Design
- Leak Protection: Thanks to its tight fit and silicone gasket, the cap reliably retains draining condensate inside the system, protecting the room from dirt and stains.
- Design: The component is "external," meaning it features a socket (female end) that fits securely over the smooth spigot of the tee.
- Gas-Tight Sealing: The built-in heat-resistant gasket provides complete gas tightness, which is critical for the proper and safe operation of pellet stoves.
- Environmental Resistance: The 1.2 mm thick DC01 steel is highly resistant to the effects of soot and moisture accumulating at the base of the flue.
- Protective Coating: The exterior is protected by Senotherm heat-resistant paint, which maintains a neat appearance and remains odorless during the heating phase.

Installation & Recommendations
The cap is installed on the lower outlet of the tee. Assembly is done manually; a tight connection is ensured by the socket geometry and the silicone ring.
Important: If your chimney design implies the formation of a significant volume of moisture, we highly recommend considering the installation of the SPNP black condensate drain. It allows for the continuous drainage of liquid through a dedicated nozzle.
