    SIA Akvilon manufactures rectangular ducts using TDF or TDC flange connection systems. SIA Akvilon manufactures its products in accordance with LVS EN 1505:2000 and LVS EN 1506:2007.

     

    TDF flange connection system

    The TDF flangeless connection system is used to connect rectangular ventilation. The flange profile is manufactured on a part workpiece, which provides high mechanical and higher pressure resistance, and the system has a lower material cost. We manufacture ventilation systems in stainless steel for objects with high hygienic, corrosion and thermal requirements.

     

    Flange connection system TDC 

    The TDC flange connection system is used to connect rectangular ventilation. The flange profile is manufactured separately and is joined to the component blank during the manufacturing process or during assembly. Flange heights of 20, 30, 40 mm are used depending on the application and the size of the part. For higher air-tightness requirements, we use factory-sealed flanges.

    Rectangular ducts and connections:
    Rectangular ducts are manufactured using special cold rolled and DX51D sheet metal, which is chemically passive. Both sides are
    coated with a zinc layer of 275 g/m2.
    The galvanised sheet metal products have a corrosion resistance of class C2.
    The maximum permissible humidity inside the duct is 18 g/kg.
    Galvanised sheet metal products with powder coating are class C3 or C4.
    Corrosion-resistant, stainless steel - C5.
    A special flange with holes for screws shall be used for joining rectangular pipes.
    The flanges shall be sealed with a special mastic which is resistant to thermal and mechanical use.
    Depending on the cross-section of the rectangular duct, the flanges may be 20, 30 or 40 mm wide.
    For rectangular ducts of larger cross-section, a special tightening device with rods inside shall be used. 
    Special blades shall be used to secure the bends to ensure laminarity of air flow.
    Rectangular duct systems shall be made of galvanised sheet metal.
    On request: rectangular duct systems can be made of AISI-304 and AISI-316 stainless steel.

    Other technical parameters:
    - maximum permissible excess static pressure +1000 Pa and vacuum. Static pressure in the duct part -750 Pa,
    - storage and operating temperatures from -30°C to +80°C,
    - if the ducting system is correctly installed, airtightness class: C,
    - duct wall strength in accordance with LST EN 1507:2006.
    Requirements:
    If it is necessary to calculate the pressure loss of a rectangular duct cross-section, where the air flow is defined in a unit of time, the hydraulic loss of an equivalent cross-section shall be found.

    Flange system:
    This is a galvanised profile with a special "L" shape. The width of one edge is 2 or 3 cm. The flange is fixed to the pipe using self-tapping screws. It joins the rectangular profiles and fittings together with an angle. The mounting rails make the system rigid and ensure that all parts of the structure are securely fixed.

    Sealing tape or a sealing compound shall be used in the connections. If the smaller side of the channel is more than 50 cm, special brackets are additionally installed. This type ensures a good seal, is characterised by its lightness and high speed of assembly.
