Flexible corrugated air ducts (ventilation hoses) are resilient, elastic channels designed for fast integration of end air distribution equipment (diffusers, ventilation grilles, local exhaust devices) into rigid main duct networks. The use of flexible pipelines effectively solves the problem of installation in tight spaces, the lack of room behind suspended ceilings, and allows for easy bypassing of massive structural elements and beams without using expensive systems of rigid bends and reducers.
The design flexibility of the products minimizes the transmission of mechanical vibrations from operating fans and air handling units to the rigid elements of the route, thereby reducing the overall level of structural noise in the building. Key Modifications and Types of Flexible Ducts
- Multi-layer aluminum duct: A standard non-insulated solution consisting of alternating layers of aluminum foil and polyester stretched over a high-strength spiral frame made of carbon steel wire. It is resistant to frequent bending and maintains a round cross-section during installation. Temperature range: from -30°C to +250°C.
- Thermally insulated duct: Equipped with a dense layer of non-combustible and environmentally safe mineral wool with a thickness of 25 mm and a protective outer aluminum casing. It prevents condensation on the outer wall of the pipe when running ventilation in unheated attics and exhaust zones, and minimizes heat loss during the transport of hot air. Temperature range: from -30°C to +250°C.
- Acoustic sound-absorbing duct: A subtype of insulated hose featuring a special micro-perforation of the internal aluminum layer. As it passes through the openings, the sound wave dampens within the mineral wool layer, allowing this duct to be used as an effective flexible silencer for aerodynamic noise from the fan.
- High-temperature stainless steel duct: A semi-rigid corrugated channel made from a single strip of stainless steel. It possesses maximum mechanical strength, does not support combustion, and is intended for discharging high-temperature gases, smoke, or connecting process heating equipment. Operating temperature: from -30°C to +700°C.
- Reinforced protective duct: A specialized aluminum hose laminated on the outside with a dense layer of flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The outer polymer sleeve protects the foil from accidental punctures, cuts, and the impact of aggressive chemical environments in damp rooms. Supplied upon custom request.

Installation Recommendations for Components
The assembly of flexible ducts is carried out via an external connection type: the elastic sleeve is pulled directly over the spigot of the fitting (tee, reducer, volume control damper) which features a factory "male" execution size (nipple). To connect two flexible hoses in series with each other, it is necessary to use a rigid intermediate connector — a ventilation nipple of the corresponding diameter.
Each connection joint requires mandatory mechanical fixation using a worm-drive or quick-release eccentric ventilation clamp. To completely rule out unauthorized air leaks or suction, it is recommended to apply a sealing mastic onto the seat area before tightening with the clamp, and tightly wrap the outer connection line with self-adhesive aluminum tape.
