10-Outlet Ventilation Manifold and Air Distribution Box
A 10-outlet HRV distribution box is a high-capacity ventilation manifold designed for large-scale HVAC distribution systems. This floor screed ventilation manifold (available with a 160mm or 200mm inlet) enables balanced airflow distribution from the main duct to ten separate air outlets. The rigid galvanized steel casing is engineered to withstand high structural loads, allowing safe, concealed installation in floor screeds, behind false ceilings, or inside technical niches without deformation. The unit can be supplied with three types of branch connections: galvanized steel (OC), plastic (PK), or rubber (GM).
Where is it used?
This air distribution box is widely used in extensive residential and commercial heat recovery ventilation (HRV) networks. Its low-profile design (82 mm casing height) allows for seamless integration into areas with limited mounting space, such as suspended ceilings or floor layers. The manifold configuration is designed to provide balanced airflow distribution across all ten channels, ensuring system efficiency in large premises.
Design Features and Benefits
- Load-resistant steel casing: The heavy-duty galvanized steel ensures long-lasting durability and protects the internal air distribution channels against external pressure during concrete pouring or structural mounting.
- Universal compatibility: All ten branches are precisely calibrated to securely connect with standard 75 mm semi-rigid flexible ducts used in modern ventilation networks.
- Condensation protection: For HVAC distribution systems operating with cold outdoor air or installed in unheated zones, insulated versions (index I) with a built-in mineral wool layer are available to prevent internal condensation and reduce noise levels.
Branch Connection Options
The selected material for the branch connections defines the duct fixing method and the overall thermal performance of the connection:
- OC (Galvanized steel): A traditional heavy-duty solution. Rigid metal branches provide maximum mechanical strength for high-traffic or high-pressure systems. Ducts are typically secured using standard hose clamps or reinforced sealing tape.
- PK (Plastic): Equipped with polymer branches featuring special fixing rings that firmly lock the flexible duct in place, significantly speeding up the assembly process. Plastic components have low thermal conductivity, reducing the risk of thermal bridging at the joints.
- GM (Rubber): Branches feature elastic seals for a friction-based, tight fit. This design ensures high airtightness of the ventilation system and contributes to partial vibration dampening within the air distribution box.
