Types and colors of materials

SIA Akvilon manufactures products from the following sheet metals:

  • galvanised tin ZN from 0.45mm
  • sheet metal with polymer coatings (Polyester, Pural, PVC, etc.), thickness from 0.5mm
  • stainless steel from 0.5mm
  • black metal
Standard colours of polymer coated sheet metal are available from SIA Akvilon warehouse:
We also offer other colours on request.

Galvanised tin is a relatively cheap and high quality material. It is suitable for tin roofing, metal roofing, the outer cladding of insulated flues and has been traditionally used in Latvia for more than a century for the installation of roofs and water drainage systems. The material has a service life of 25 years. Galvanised tin - the material is a steel sheet coated with a thin layer of zinc to protect against corrosion. The principle of the protection method is that the zinc in the coating is the first to react to corrosion, while the base metal remains undamaged. Professionals prefer galvanised tin because it combines strength and ductility. Galvanised steel roofing shall have a service life of at least of 25 years.

Polyester tin. Galvanised (steel) sheet with a coloured polymer coating has additional resistance to atmospheric corrosion and a decorative appearance that significantly expands the design possibilities when installing metal roofing. Polyester (PE) is the most common polymer coating used in exterior building applications and has high colour fastness, heat resistance, plasticity and resistance to mechanical damage. A galvanised steel roof with a polyester polymer coating shall have a service life of at least 50 years.

PURAL is a polyurethane-based coating. It is an excellent material for roofs as well as facades. Chemically resistant, can be handled at low temperatures.
Suitable for sheet metal products, metal roofs, external casings of insulated flues. The material has a service life of 30 years.

Copper
Never rusts, never breaks down, absolutely harmless, has anabolic properties. When exposed to the external environment, copper forms a patina, a natural protective layer that protects it from corrosion and deterioration, as it completely excludes oxygen and other substances from the surface of the copper.
Copper is more suitable for roofing and has a service life of more than 100 years.
We offer round drainage systems in copper.

Stainless steel
Stainless steel - this material is corrosion-resistant, resistant to external environments and acids. We offer stainless steel products with polished or brushed surfaces. We use a thickness of 0.5-1.2mm. Suitable for chimneys, air extraction hoods, non-standard sheet metal parts.
