Description

Soudal Gasketseal is a heat-resistant, elastic one-component silicone sealant on an acetoxy base. The product is designed for sealing metal connections and creating reliable O-rings. It successfully replaces traditional cork, felt, paper, and rubber gaskets.

Design and Operational Features:

• Application Scope: Optimal for use in engines, pumps, and heating systems. Allows forming elastic gaskets of any thickness and shape directly on the part.
• Material Properties: Easy to apply, UV-resistant, and maintains permanent elasticity after polymerization. If necessary, the old sealant can be easily removed even after prolonged use.
• Chemical Resistance: Withstands prolonged contact with petrol, diesel fuel, mineral oils, grease, and antifreeze.
• Limitations: Has a characteristic vinegar odor during the drying process. Due to the acetoxy base, it may cause corrosion on certain metals (copper, lead). Not suitable for aquariums, glazing, natural stone, polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), Teflon (PTFE), and bitumen.
