Galvanised tin is a relatively cheap and high quality material. It is suitable for corroding sheet metal products, for metal roofing, for the outer cladding of insulated flues, and has traditionally been used in Latvia for more than a century for the installation of roofs and water drainage systems. The material has a service life of 25 years. Galvanised tin - the material is a steel sheet coated with a thin layer of zinc to protect against corrosion. The principle of the protection method is that the zinc in the coating is the first to react to corrosion, while the base metal remains intact. Professionals prefer galvanised tin because it combines strength and ductility. Galvanised steel roofing can be used for a minimum of 25 years.
