Oval Chimney Elbow 45° on the Wide Side RENOFAST
Description and Purpose
The Single-Wall Oval Elbow 45° is a chimney fitting designed to change the channel direction. The 45-degree angle ensures a smoother gas turn compared to a right angle, which positively affects the draft.
Bend Geometry:
This model features a bend on the wide (flat) side of the oval. This structural solution is applied when it is necessary to shift the chimney axis or bypass an obstacle in a plane parallel to the wide side of the pipe. Manufacturing such elbows is technically more complex, but they are indispensable when installing in limited spaces of niches and shafts.
Advantages and Characteristics
- Stock Availability: Unlike many competitors, we maintain a stock of elbows bent on the wide side, avoiding long waits for custom orders.
- Aerodynamics: The segmented elbow design minimizes flow resistance, preventing smoke stagnation and rapid soot accumulation at the turn.
- Compatibility: The socket connection ensures accurate and tight docking with RENOFAST single-wall pipes.
- Material: Corrosion-resistant stainless steel AISI 304L / 316L is used, guaranteeing a long service life.

Installation Recommendations
- Dimensions: Consider that the turning radius on the wide side is physically larger than on the narrow side. Ensure your shaft has enough depth to accommodate such an offset.
- Completeness: To form a full offset, you typically need two 45° elbows and an oval pipe between them.
- Fixation: The weight of the inclined structure requires mandatory fastening with brackets to the wall to relieve load from lower elements.
