Oval Chimney Tee 45° (Connection on Wide Side) RENOFAST
Description and Application
The Oval Tee with a 45-degree angle is a high-efficiency connection element designed to join the horizontal flue from the boiler with the vertical shaft. The distinct feature of this model is that the branch connection is located on the wide (flat) side of the ellipse.
Advantages of the 45° Angle
Unlike a standard right angle (90°), an inclined connection creates minimal aerodynamic resistance. Flue gases enter the main shaft smoothly, tangentially. This solution is optimal for:
- Natural Draft Systems: Fireplaces, stoves, atmospheric boilers.
- Solid Fuel Boilers: Reduces the risk of smoke backflow during ignition and minimizes soot deposits in the turn zone.
This configuration (wide side connection) is used when the heating appliance is located opposite the flat wall of the oval liner.
Advantages and Characteristics
- Stable Draft: The design eliminates the gas flow "impact" against the pipe wall, preventing the formation of eddies and turbulence zones.
- Easy Maintenance: It is significantly easier to insert cleaning tools into the vertical channel through an inclined branch than through a straight tee.
- Geometry: The connection on the 180/220 mm side allows for inlet diameters up to 160-180 mm without narrowing the main channel cross-section.
- Material: High-quality stainless steel AISI 304L / 316L, resistant to thermal loads.

Important Installation Notes
- Support: The angled connection creates an offset load. Ensure secure fixation of chimney elements below the tee.
- Bottom Assembly: The connection tee must always be installed above a cleanout tee (for soot access) and a condensate drain.
- Size Check: Ensure your brick shaft width allows for the tee with the wide side outlet. If space is limited, consider the narrow side option.
