Oval Tee 45° with Narrow Side Connection RENOFAST
Description and Application
The Oval Tee with a 45-degree angle is a connection element for joining the heating appliance to the vertical shaft, ensuring the best aerodynamic performance. This model features a branch connection on the narrow side of the oval (115 mm).
Why use a 45° angle instead of 90°?
A 45-degree connection creates significantly less resistance for the movement of flue gases. The flow enters the vertical channel smoothly, tangentially, without hitting the pipe wall. This solution is highly recommended for:
- Fireplaces and Sauna Stoves: Where stable and strong draft is critical.
- Solid Fuel Boilers: To minimize soot deposits in the turn zone.
The "narrow side" geometry allows the system to be installed in shafts where the boiler is located on the rib side of the oval liner.
Advantages and Characteristics
- Ideal Draft: The smooth gas entry angle eliminates turbulent eddies and stagnation zones, ensuring free exhaust even with weak draft.
- Easy Cleaning: Through the slanted branch, it is easier for a chimney sweep (or user) to insert a flexible brush rod into the vertical shaft for maintenance.
- Geometry: The connection is located on the 115 mm side, maintaining the full flow cross-section of the main channel without restrictions.
- Material: Heat-resistant and acid-resistant stainless steel AISI 304L / 316L.

Important Installation Notes
- Bottom Support: Since the connection is angled, it is important to ensure secure fixation of elements below the tee. Use a support plate or clamps.
- Inspection and Condensate: The connection tee is not for cleaning. A cleanout tee (with cap) and a condensate drain must be installed below it.
- Adapters: To connect with the boiler outlet, you may need an adapter or a 45° elbow to form the required trajectory.
