Oval Chimney Elbow 45° (Bend on Narrow Side) RENOFAST
Description and Purpose
The Single-Wall Oval Elbow 45° is a chimney fitting designed to smoothly change the direction of the channel. Unlike a sharp 90° turn, the 45° angle creates minimal resistance to flue gases, which is critical for good draft.
Bend Geometry:
This model is bent along the narrow side of the oval (115 mm). This means the turn happens "on the edge". Most often, two such elbows are used together with a straight pipe section to create an axis offset (a so-called "dog-leg") to bypass roof beams or wall projections.
Advantages and Characteristics
- Low Resistance: The smooth inclination angle eliminates smoke eddies and soot accumulation, making this element preferable for solid fuel boilers and fireplaces.
- System Compatibility: The elbow features socket connections that fit tightly with RENOFAST single-wall pipes, forming a sealed channel.
- Reliability: The product is TIG welded (continuous seam) from acid-resistant stainless steel AISI 304L / 316L.

Installation Recommendations
- Creating an Offset: To shift the chimney axis, use two 45° elbows. You can install a straight oval pipe section of the required length between them to adjust the offset distance.
- Support: Inclined sections create a load on the joint. Be sure to fix the chimney with wall brackets above and below the turn point.
