Oval Tee 90° with Wide Side Connection RENOFAST

Description and Application

The Oval Tee (90°) is a key component of the chimney system, designed to change the channel direction by 90 degrees. The specific feature of this model is the location of the branch: the connection outlet is on the wide (flat) side of the ellipse.

When do you need this Tee?

This tee is necessary if the geometry of your brick shaft and the location of the heating appliance require connecting the pipe to the wide plane of the elliptical liner (the 180 mm or 220 mm side).

Multifunctionality

Possible applications:

• Boiler Connection: Connecting the outlet pipe of the heating device to the main vertical chimney shaft.
• Inspection Hatch: When installed at the bottom of the system and equipped with a sealed cap (plug), the tee functions as a window for cleaning and inspecting the channel.

• Flow Aerodynamics: The neck of the tee features a structural "rise" in the upper part. This solution minimizes flue gas turbulence when turning the flow into the vertical elliptical channel, maintaining stable draft.
• Condensate Control: The lower part of the branch has an inward slope. This prevents acidic condensate from leaking out through the joint, directing the liquid down to the condensate drain.
• Full Passage: The connection is designed so as not to create a restriction inside the main channel, ensuring free passage of flue gases.

Important Installation Notes

• Components: To connect the round outlet of the boiler to the oval tee, an oval-to-round adapter is often required. If the tee is used as a cleanout, do not forget to purchase a bottom cap.
• Orientation Check: Carefully check your shaft dimensions. If the space only allows connection from the narrow end of the liner, you will need a Tee on the narrow side.
