Description and Application

The Oval Tee (90°) is the main node for connecting the heating appliance to the vertical chimney shaft. This specific model has a key feature: the connection branch is located on the narrow side of the ellipse (the 115 mm side).

When do you need this Tee?

The choice between a "narrow side" or "wide side" Tee depends on how the oval pipe is oriented inside your brick shaft and from which direction the pipe from the boiler approaches. This model is used when the boiler connects from the "edge" side of the oval.

Multifunctionality

This element serves two main purposes:

• For Connection: Joins the horizontal section from the boiler with the vertical shaft.
• For Inspection (Cleanout): If installed at the base of the shaft and closed with a tee cap (plug), it creates a convenient access point for inspection and soot removal.

Advantages and Design Features

• Flow Aerodynamics: The neck design features a smooth rise in the upper part. This reduces flue gas turbulence when entering the vertical channel and stabilizes the draft.
• Condensate Protection: The lower part of the branch has a technological inward slope. This prevents corrosive condensate from leaking out through the joint and directs it into the condensate drain.
• Section Preservation: The geometry is calculated so that the branch does not restrict the main smoke extraction channel.
• Material: Acid-resistant stainless steel AISI 304L / 316L, resistant to burnout and corrosion.

Important Installation Notes

• Completeness: A Tee is a splitter. To create a complete connection node, you may need an adapter and a bottom cap (if used as a cleanout).
• Orientation: Before ordering, ensure there is enough space in your shaft for the branch to exit specifically from the narrow side. If the pipe is oriented with the wide side facing the boiler, you will need a Tee on the wide side.
