Oval Single-Wall Stainless Steel Pipe RENOFAST, 500 mm
Description and Application
The 500 mm (0.5 meter) oval pipe is the main extension element of the RENOFAST system. It is structurally identical to the base 1-meter pipe (same oval profile, socket connection, steel grade) but has a reduced length for installation flexibility.
Why do you need a 0.5-meter pipe?
When relining a brick chimney, it is rarely possible to use only 1-meter elements. The 500 mm pipe solves specific installation challenges:
- Height Correction: Allows you to reach the required chimney height when a full meter is too long, and 250 mm is too short.
- Tight Spaces: Essential for working in attics with low roofs or confined spaces where inserting a standard 1-meter pipe into the shaft is difficult.
- Passing Floors: Allows you to shift the joint position so that it does not end up inside a concrete or wooden ceiling (which is prohibited by fire safety regulations).
For other tasks, our range includes:
- Oval pipe 1000 mm (1 m) — the base element for gaining main height (more economical and faster to install).
- Oval pipe 250 mm (0.25 m) — for final precise adjustment (e.g., before installing a rain cap or tee).
Advantages and Characteristics
- Geometry Preservation: Fits perfectly with all RENOFAST system elements. The oval cross-section ensures maximum use of the brick shaft's clearance.
- Seam Reliability: TIG butt-welding in an inert gas environment. The seam does not split during thermal expansion and does not corrode.
- Materials Selection:
- AISI 304L: Standard for gas and wood (dry operation).
- AISI 316L: Increased acid resistance for diesel and condensing boilers.

Important Installation Notes
The more joints in the system, the more attention must be paid to their fixation.
- Fixation: Shorter elements are easier to displace during chimney cleaning. Be sure to secure the connection with stainless steel rivets or use connecting clamps.
- Assembly Direction: Always assemble pipes "by condensate" (the upper pipe inserts into the lower one).
