Oval Single-Wall Stainless Steel Pipe RENOFAST, 1000 mm
Description and Application
The 1-meter oval pipe (liner) is the core element for the renovation (relining) of existing brick chimneys. Unlike round pipes, the oval shape (ellipse) allows for the most efficient use of the internal space of rectangular masonry shafts (e.g., standard 140x270 mm channels), without leaving empty corners or restricting the flue cross-section.
The product is made of acid-resistant stainless steel. Installing such a liner prevents the destruction of brickwork caused by aggressive condensate, improves the aerodynamics of the channel, and makes soot cleaning much easier.
For precise height adjustment of the chimney, our range includes shorter elements:
- Oval pipe 500 mm (0.5 m) — for height adjustment.
- Oval pipe 250 mm (0.25 m) — for final fitting and passing through ceilings.
Advantages and Technologies
- Efficient Shape: The oval cross-section (115x180 mm or 115x220 mm) maintains the flow capacity of the shaft, which is critical for the correct operation of modern boilers.
- Direct from Manufacturer: Produced by Akvilon in Riga. We ensure high availability of standard sizes on our shelf.
- Seam Tightness: The pipe is manufactured using automatic TIG butt-welding (in an inert gas environment). This guarantees a perfectly smooth seam without ridges or pores, eliminating corrosion and soot accumulation at the joint.
- Materials Selection:
- AISI 304L (Standard): Optimal for wood stoves, fireplaces, and standard boilers (dry operation). Always in stock.
- AISI 316L (Premium): Mandatory for gas, diesel, and pellet boilers (acid-resistant steel with molybdenum).
- Easy Installation: The "male-female" socket system (50 mm overlap) with hydraulic expansion ensures quick assembly of a sealed shaft without welding on-site.

System Assembly Recommendations
An oval chimney requires careful selection of components, as the elements have a strict orientation. For installation, you will need:
- Fixation: Oval pipes cannot rotate within each other, so it is important to secure each joint with rivets or clamps.
- Connection: Use a Tee element to connect to the boiler. Depending on the inlet position, choose a Tee on the narrow side or Tee on the wide side.
- Elbows: When changing the channel direction, consider the bending plane. Use an Elbow 90° on the narrow side ("edge bend") or on the wide side ("flat bend").
- Condensate Management: Install a condensate drain at the base of the vertical shaft.
- Termination: A rain cap or chimney finishing plate is installed on the top pipe to protect against precipitation.
