Transition for ceramic chimneys
A transition (reduction) is a flue system element used when it is necessary to change the diameter of the flue to connect different types of flue systems. The tapered configuration of the reducer ensures a smooth transition from one diameter to the other. Two types of transition are available - tapered and straight. The other has one end straight (narrowed) (-) and the other end widened (+). Non-standard sizes on request. We also produce rectangular transitions to custom dimensions.
For ceramic chimneys, it is recommended to use specially made transitions with heat-resistant rope. As a result of the temperature - the metal expands, without a compensating liner, an ordinary metallic transition can damage ceramic chimneys.
