Adapter for Ceramic Flues
RENOFAST Stainless Steel Adapter for Ceramic Flues
Product Description
The RENOFAST adapter for ceramic chimneys is a specialised connection element designed for the safe and correct connection of metal pipes to a ceramic chimney shaft. It solves the critically important engineering task of compensating for the difference in thermal expansion between materials.
Unlike standard metal adapters, this model is equipped with a compensation unit featuring a heat-resistant seal (ceramic rope). This prevents the transmission of destructive mechanical pressure from the expanding metal to the walls of the fragile ceramic pipe during heating.
Features and Benefits
- Protection against Ceramic Failure: Metal expands significantly more and faster than ceramic when heated. The built-in soft compensator (rope) absorbs this expansion, acting as a shock absorber. This prevents the steel pipe from "crushing" the ceramic spigot from the inside, preventing the appearance of cracks.
- Connection Airtightness: The heat-resistant seal ensures a tight fit of the metal to the ceramic, preventing smoke leakage even during thermal movements of the elements relative to each other.
- Custom Approach: Ceramic systems have different standards and diameters. We manufacture adapters exactly to your system's dimensions (for internal or external installation).
- Material: The main body is made of acid-resistant stainless steel AISI 304L/316L, resistant to aggressive condensate and high temperatures.

Ordering and Installation Recommendations
- Precise Measurements: To manufacture the part, it is necessary to know the exact diameter of the ceramic pipe and the desired connection type (fitting inside the ceramic or over it).
- Prohibition of Rigid Connection: It is strictly forbidden to insert a standard metal pipe into ceramic "tightly" without a gap or a soft compensator. This is guaranteed to lead to the splitting of the ceramic spigot during the very first active firing.
