Flue systems for cogeneration stations
SIA Akvilon manufactures and assembles flue systems for cogeneration stations. We manufacture according to the specific technical requirements of the customer and the cogeneration station equipment with regard to the smoke extraction system.
Due to the fact that recently the use of power generators and combined heat and power stations (mini-TEC) has become quite widespread, the demand for special metal flues designed to withstand high pressures has increased. SIA Akvilon offers a variety of design solutions for such chimneys. Several projects of a similar kind have recently been realised.
The products of combustion are discharged from the cogeneration station through a chimney connected to the flange of the cogeneration station. The flue from the flange of the cogeneration station shall be hermetically sealed.
We use different solutions to ensure hermeticity:
- fully hermetic TIG welded pipes, welding both in the factory and in the object
- connections with welded flanges, with graphite gaskets inserted between the flanges
- using a flexible silicone gasket at the connection points
