Chimney Elbow (Bend) 45° Jeremias Ferro-Lux
Application and Design
The 45° elbow from the Ferro-Lux series (Jeremias, Germany) is used to change the direction of the flue channel. It is most often used in pairs to create an offset of the chimney axis (bypassing beams, wall protrusions) or for a smooth connection of the firebox to the chimney in the wall.
The advantage of this model is its aesthetic appearance. Due to the absence of inspection doors and the use of laser welding, the elbow looks like a solid curved piece. In the interior, it looks neat, without drawing attention to technical joints.
Technical Advantages
- Smooth aerodynamics: The 45-degree angle creates less resistance to flue gases compared to a right angle (90°), which favorably affects the draft and reduces soot deposition.
- Laser welding: The seams are made using butt laser welding. They are gas-tight and practically invisible under the layer of paint.
- Connection with narrowing: The element is equipped with a "Plug-and-socket" connection system with mechanical narrowing of one end. This ensures the reliability of the assembly without protruding external sockets.
- Senotherm 702.284 coating: Coated with heat-resistant Senotherm enamel (code 702.284 - deep black). The coating is scratch-resistant, withstands high temperatures, and does not emit an odor during operation.

Mounting and Recommendations
The elbow is connected to other elements by insertion (narrowed end inside the next pipe). When forming an S-shaped offset from two 45° elbows, it is recommended to seal the joint between them with heat-resistant sealant for structural rigidity.
Important Limitations
- Application: For indoor installation in dry areas only. Not an insulated element.
