Black Steel Chimney Adapter - Increaser, 2 mm Thick
Product Purpose
An adapter made of 2 mm thick DC01 black steel is a necessary element for joining pipes of different cross-sections. This category includes elements designed to increase the diameter of the flue channel. This is a standard solution when the outlet collar of a heating appliance (fireplace, stove) is smaller than the diameter of the main chimney.
The structure of such transitions has a specific connection scheme: the smaller diameter is designed as a spigot (smooth end, inserted inside), and the larger diameter is a socket (placed over). This ensures correct system installation for proper condensate drainage.
Same-Diameter Adapters (Couplings)
This section also includes couplings of the same diameter (for example, 130 to 130 mm). They are applied to join two elements with the same end type, which is frequently necessary during non-standard assembly or pipe trimming.
Manufacturing Technologies
Depending on how much the connected diameters differ, adapters are manufactured using two different methods:
- Pressed (Type T1): Applied when the difference between the diameters is no more than 30 mm. They are manufactured by deep drawing from a solid steel sheet, have no transverse welded seams on the cone, provide a neat appearance, and possess high gas tightness.
- Segmented (Type S1): Applied when there is a significant difference in diameters (more than 30 mm). They are welded from steel segments using reliable TIG welding.
Both types are manufactured from robust DC01 steel (2.0 mm), which ensures resistance to soot fire (class G) and operating temperatures up to 600°C.
Assortment of Adapters (Increasers)
The table below presents the transition increasers. The smaller diameter is always connected at the bottom, and the larger one at the top.

Important Limitations
- Application: Exclusively for connecting solid fuel appliances indoors. The transition piece is a single-wall element.
- Custom orders: If a specific size is not listed in the standardized table, manufacturing a segmented adapter according to individual parameters is possible.
