Chimney adapter (reducer) made from black steel (2 mm) is an element for sealing the connection between chimney pipes of different diameters, designed to transition from one diameter of the chimney system to another. The size is indicated as D1/D2, where D1 is the diameter of the "female" end, the socket, "+", and D2 is the diameter of the "male" end, the smooth end, "-".
There are two types of adapters: segmented and pressed. A segmented adapter is made of several segments, while a pressed adapter is made from a single piece by stamping.
