Flue Damper Mechanism with Short Handle

Description and Purpose

This product is a standalone functional unit — a rotatable damper plate with an axis and a short handle. The item is designed for self-installation (insertion) into black steel flue pipes. This solution is used when it is necessary to equip the system with a draft regulation function, but the installation of a ready-made pipe section with a damper is not possible.

When planning a concealed fireplace installation where the damper control is brought out through the cladding or wall, a mechanism with a long handle is used.

Technical Advantages and Safety

• Standards Compliance: The product is designed in accordance with LVS EN 16510-1:2023 standards and the LBN 231-15 building code. The design includes the installation of a restrictor screw that physically prevents the complete closure of the channel, leaving a safety gap for the evacuation of carbon monoxide.
• Maintainability: The mechanism can be used as a repair kit to replace a worn or damaged unit in existing dampers.
• Thermal Resistance: The use of heat-resistant DC01 steel (2 mm) and Senotherm coating (matte black) ensures stable operation at temperatures up to 600°C without deformation. The coating polymerizes upon heating and protects the steel from corrosion.

• Attention! During installation, it is mandatory to maintain the restrictor function. If the restrictor screw is not installed, compliance with safety standards is lost. Complete closure of the channel is permitted only in specialized systems under the full responsibility of the user.
• Application: Designed for wood-burning stoves, fireplaces, and solid fuel boilers. Do not use with pellet equipment.
