Description and Purpose

A connecting coupling made of 2 mm thick DC01 black steel is a specialized mounting element featuring sockets on both sides. The product is designed to join two pipes that lack their own fitting expansions (smooth ends).

This element is most frequently applied when a standard chimney pipe has been cut during installation to adjust the height. The coupling allows a gas-tight connection of the cut edge with the next system element, maintaining the correct assembly direction.

Mounting and Recommendations

The smooth ends of the connected pipes are inserted into the coupling from both sides. Before joining, a layer of heat-resistant silicone or stove sealant must be applied to the inner surface of the coupling to ensure the gas tightness of the connection. If cut pipes are being joined, it must be ensured that the cut edge is deburred and free of deformations.

Important Limitations

• Application: Designed for wood stoves, fireplaces, and solid fuel boilers.
• Diameter: The coupling joins elements of the same diameter only. To transition between different diameters, an adapter must be applied.
