Connection Chimney Tee 90° (Black Steel)
Description and Configuration
The 90° tee made of DC01 black steel (2 mm) is a basic element of the chimney system designed to connect the horizontal section from the heating appliance to the main vertical channel. The connection angle is 90°.
Important design feature:
The top and side outlets are designed as smooth spigot ends (inserted inside). The bottom outlet is a socket (placed over) — for installing a removable blind cap or a condensate collector, through which inspection and cleaning of the chimney from soot is carried out.
Technical Advantages
- Connection Reliability: The tee takes on a high thermal load at the turn of the flue gases. The 2 mm steel thickness ensures protection against burn-through in this area.
- Maintenance Convenience: The design with a bottom inspection outlet allows cleaning the vertical channel without disassembling the entire system.
- Gas Tightness: The welds are made using TIG welding, which ensures correct geometry and gas tightness of the connection.
- Coating: The element is finished with heat-resistant Senotherm paint (matte black), which is resistant to high temperatures and protects the metal from corrosion. The coating polymerizes upon heating.

Mounting and Recommendations
The side branch is connected to the line from the stove (directly or via a 45° elbow). The next sections of the vertical chimney are put with their socket onto the top spigot end of the tee. This configuration corresponds to assembly in the direction of flue gas flow, which is typical for single-wall starting sections where temperatures are high. The bottom outlet must be closed with a cap to ensure draft and collect soot/condensate.
Important Limitations
- Application: Designed for wood-burning stoves, fireplaces, and solid fuel boilers.
- Insulation: The tee is a single-wall element. When passing through floors or installing outdoors, it requires insulation.
