Chimney Tee 45° (Black Steel)

Description and Purpose

The 45° tee made of DC01 black steel (2 mm) is a connecting element designed to join the chimney from the heating appliance to the main vertical channel at a 45° angle.

Unlike a direct connection (90°), using a diagonal tee creates significantly lower aerodynamic resistance. Flue gases enter the main channel along a smooth trajectory, which minimizes turbulence, improves draft, and reduces the rate of soot deposition at the turn.

Configuration and Features

• Connection Scheme: The tee is equipped with one socket on top (Dw) and two tapered spigot ends (Dz) — at the bottom and on the side branch.
• «Condensate-wise» Assembly: The geometry of the element is oriented towards classic vertical assembly, where condensate flows freely down the inner walls without leaking through the joints.
• Reliability: Manufactured from 2.0 mm thick steel. Seamless welding is performed using the TIG method, ensuring gas tightness and structural strength at temperatures up to 600°C.
• Maintenance: The bottom outlet (Dz) is designed for installing a condensate collector or an inspection plug, providing moisture collection and access for channel cleaning.

Mounting and Recommendations

The 45° tee is often used in combination with a 45° elbow to form a smooth fireplace connection to the main channel. The bottom spigot must be closed with a condensate collector or a blind cap.

Important Limitations

• Application: For wood-burning stoves, fireplaces, and solid fuel boilers.
• Insulation: The element is single-wall and intended for indoor installation. When passing through walls or floors, compliance with fire safety distances and insulation is required.
