Chimney Connection Sleeve

Description and Operating Principle

The sleeve made of 0.8 mm thick DC01 black steel is a mounting element designed to organize the connection node of a metal pipe to a brick or ceramic chimney shaft. The product is an insert that is embedded directly into the wall of the channel.

Installing the sleeve creates a prepared «port» for introducing the flue pipe. The restrictor inside the structure (step) ensures the correct insertion depth of the pipe, preventing it from going too deep into the shaft, which could block the cross-section of the main channel.

Technical Advantages

• Structure Protection: The sleeve absorbs the thermal load and mechanical friction during metal expansion, protecting the brickwork or ceramics from direct contact with the hot pipe and subsequent cracking.
• Maintenance Convenience: The use of the insert allows the steel pipe to be disconnected for cleaning or replacement without damaging the chimney wall.
• Aesthetics and Protection: The element is painted with heat-resistant Senotherm paint (matte black). The coating polymerizes upon heating, ensures visual compatibility with the pipes, and protects the steel from corrosion.

Mounting

The sleeve is installed into the prepared hole in the chimney wall using a heat-resistant mortar or stove sealant. After fixing and drying the mortar, the metal pipe from the heating appliance is inserted inside.

Important Limitations

• Application: Designed for wood-burning stoves, fireplaces, and solid fuel boilers.
• Mounting: Requires a hermetic seal into the wall to prevent air suction or the escape of flue gases through the masonry gaps.
