Description and Operating Principle

A specialized adapter made of 2 mm thick DC01 black steel is designed for the safe connection of a metal pipe from a stove or fireplace to the inlet collar of a ceramic chimney. It is a mandatory installation element when joining dissimilar materials.

A primary issue during the direct connection of steel to ceramics is the different coefficient of thermal expansion. Upon heating, metal expands more than ceramics and can rupture the fragile shaft tee. This adapter solves this issue: it is equipped with a built-in sealing cord made of heat-resistant fiber, which acts as a damper, compensating for expansion and ensuring the gas tightness of the joint.

Mounting and Recommendations

The part of the adapter with the sealing cord is inserted inside the ceramic tee. The metal pipe from the heating appliance is placed onto the counterpart of the adapter. To continue the connection to the stove, a standard chimney pipe is applied.

Important Limitations

• Fuel: Designed for wood stoves, fireplaces, and solid fuel boilers. Not to be used with pellet equipment.
• Compatibility: Before ordering, it is necessary to carefully measure the internal diameter of the ceramic chimney inlet and compare it with the fitting range in the table.
