Insulated Chimney Roof Flashing 20°-35°
Description and Purpose
The Roof Flashing with a slope of 20°–35° is a waterproofing element designed to seal the chimney exit point through a pitched roof with a standard slope.
This is the most common type of flashing, suitable for the majority of classic gable roofs on residential houses. The element consists of a base plate and a cone welded at the required angle, allowing the chimney to pass through the roof strictly vertically.
Key Features
- For standard roofs: The 20-35 degree angle covers the most popular roof pitch range in private construction.
- Reliable waterproofing: With proper installation (tucked under the ridge side), the base completely diverts water around the pipe, eliminating leaks.
- System approach: This element does not seal the gap between the pipe and the cone by itself. For complete waterproofing, a storm collar must be used.

Important Installation Recommendations
- Joint sealing: A technological gap remains between the chimney and the flashing cone. This gap must be covered from above by a storm collar, and the joint sealed with heat-resistant silicone. Without the storm collar, water will leak into the house along the pipe wall!
- Water shedding: The top edge of the base plate must be tucked under the roofing material (towards the ridge), while the bottom edge should lie over the roofing. This ensures proper rainwater runoff.
