Base Support Platform for Chimney (Starter Plate)

Description and Purpose

The Base Support Platform is the key load-bearing assembly of the Izokompakt system. It is a structural plate with an integrated insulated "socket". This element serves as the foundation for the entire vertical chimney stack.

The platform does not attach to the wall by itself. It is installed horizontally onto load-bearing elements: a Wall Support Bracket or a floor stand.

Key Advantages

• Correct Weight Distribution: The wide plate accepts the point load from the weight of the entire chimney pipe and distributes it evenly onto the bracket arms or support frame.
• Easy Maintenance (Pass-through Design): This is the main difference between a platform and a simple plug. The chimney rests on it with its outer contour, while the inner part remains open from below. This allows the installation of a Condensate Collector that passes through the platform. As a result, you can remove the collector cap from the bottom for cleaning at any time without dismantling or lifting the heavy chimney.
• Thermal Insulation: The integrated socket has a 50 mm layer of basalt wool, which prevents freezing at the lowest point of the system.
• Stability: Ensures strict vertical alignment of the first element (usually a Tee), preventing tilting of the entire structure.

The platform is selected strictly according to the inner and outer diameters of your chimney system.

Important Installation Recommendations

• Assembly Scheme: The classic assembly looks like this: Bracket is fixed to the wall → Platform is placed on it → Tee is placed on the platform → Condensate Collector is inserted through the platform from below.
• Fixation: The platform must be securely fixed to the bracket (usually with bolts or rivets) to prevent shifting under wind loads or vibration.
• Warning: It is prohibited to use the platform as a standalone wall mount (without brackets). It is not designed for lateral attachment directly to the wall.
