Insulated Chimney Roof Flashing 0°-5° (Flat Roof)
Description and Purpose
The Roof Flashing with a slope of 0°–5° is a waterproofing element designed to seal the chimney exit point through a flat or minimally sloped roof.
The element consists of a metal base plate with a cone welded to it. The cone facilitates the passage of the chimney pipe through the roof structure while maintaining its vertical position.
Key Features
- For flat roofs: The cone geometry is aligned strictly vertically relative to the base. This is the optimal solution for soft roofing, bitumen, or membrane roofs.
- Precipitation protection: The base covers the opening cut in the roof, protecting the under-roof space from rain and snow ingress.
- System approach: This element does not seal the gap between the pipe and the cone by itself. For complete waterproofing, a storm collar must be used.

Important Installation Recommendations
- Joint sealing: The flashing covers the hole in the roof, but a technological gap remains between the chimney pipe itself and the flashing cone (to allow for thermal expansion). This gap must be covered from above by a storm collar, and the joint sealed with heat-resistant silicone. Without the storm collar, water will leak into the building along the pipe wall.
- Roof integration: The flashing base is typically installed under the top layer of the roofing material (or bonded between bitumen layers) to ensure proper water runoff.
