Chimney Rigid Roof Bracing Kit 2000 mm
Description and Purpose
The Rigid Roof Bracing Kit (struts) with a support length of 2000 mm is a reinforced set for fixing a chimney protruding above the roof level. The increased length of the "legs" allows creating a wider and more stable support triangle, which is critically important under strong wind loads.
Using rigid steel profiles instead of flexible cables guarantees that the chimney will be fixed "dead" and will not sway, maintaining the tightness of the roof penetration.
When is rigid bracing necessary?
According to building regulations, any chimney pipe rising above the roof by more than 1.5 meters is subject to mandatory fixation.
Kit Contents and Features
- Kit composition:
- Reinforced Mounting Clamp (Fixing Clamp): Fits onto the outer casing of the pipe.
- Two steel profiles (Struts): Length 2000 mm.
- Hardware set: For connecting the struts to the clamp.
- Durability: All steel elements are galvanized and powder-coated (RAL 9006), providing double protection against rust.
- Installation: The length of the supports (2.0 m) can be shortened on-site to perfectly adjust the fastening to the geometry of your roof.
Technical Specifications
The kit is selected based on the outer diameter of the chimney.
| Product type | Rigid Roof Bracing Kit (Standard) |
| Strut length (L) | 2000 mm |
| Material | Steel S235 / AISI 304 + Galvanized / Powder Coated |
| Tube profile | 20x20 mm (or reinforced, depending on diameter) |
| Available diameters (outer) | 200, 225, 250, 280, 300 mm |
Other Length Options
If you need supports of a different length for an optimal angle:
- Strut length 1500 mm (For shorter overhangs)
- Strut length 3000 mm (For high chimneys)
Installation Recommendations
- Secure base: Fasten the lower supports strictly to the structural elements of the roof (rafters, beams, or battens), passing through the roofing cover. Fastening simply to metal tiles or Onduline is unacceptable.
- Sealing: Be sure to use high-quality roofing sealant at the points where the fasteners pass through the roof.
