Insulated Chimney Bend 30°
Description and Purpose
The Insulated Bend 30° is a modular chimney element designed for the smoothest and slightest change in channel direction. It is used in situations where it is necessary to slightly offset the chimney axis to bypass an obstacle without losing gas flow speed.
This element is the most aerodynamically efficient solution for creating chimney offsets when combined with straight pipe sections.
Key Features
- Best draft: A deflection angle of only 30 degrees creates virtually no resistance to flue gases. This is the ideal choice for open fireplaces or boilers with weak natural draft.
- Minimum soot: Thanks to the smooth turn, soot does not accumulate on the walls as intensively as on 45° or 90° bends, simplifying maintenance.
- Safety: Insulation (50 mm rock wool) prevents overheating of the outer casing and maintains gas temperature.

Selection and Installation Tips
- Offset geometry: Note that shifting the chimney to the side by a certain distance using 30° bends requires more vertical space (height) than using 45° bends.
- Fixation: Like any inclined elements, joints must be secured with locking bands.
- Alternative: If you need to make a sharper turn, consider the bend 45°.
