Insulated Chimney Bend 90° with Inspection
Description and Purpose
The Insulated Bend 90° with Inspection is an upgraded version of the standard bend. It is designed to change the direction of the chimney at a right angle while maintaining access for channel maintenance.
Why built-in inspection is needed:
A standard 90° angle creates a difficult-to-reach zone for cleaning, where soot accumulates most actively. The built-in hatch on the outer radius of the turn solves this problem, providing direct access to both horizontal and vertical pipe sections for easy cleaning without dismantling the chimney.
Key Features
- Compactness: Allows combining a turn and a maintenance point in one node. This saves space compared to the bulky combination of a "Tee + Cap".
- Safety: The inspection opening is closed by a hermetic insulated cap, which prevents freezing and smoke leakage into the room.
- Durability: The inner liner and the inspection spigot are made of acid-resistant stainless steel AISI 304L/316L.

Installation Tips
- Accessibility: When installing, orient the bend so that there is free access to the inspection cap. Do not seal the hatch inside a wall.
- Alternative: If you have enough space and the turn does not require maintenance (e.g., immediately after a tee), you can use a regular bend 90° without inspection, which will be cheaper.
- Support: Like any bend, this element should not bear the weight of the entire vertical chimney. Use load-bearing brackets.
