Insulated Chimney Blind Cap (No Drain)
Description and Purpose
The Insulated Blind Cap is an element that completely seals the chimney channel. Unlike condensate collectors, it does not have an opening for liquid drainage.
Difference from condensate drains:
The main difference between this part and a drain cap is the absence of a drainage hole. While a drain cap collects and discharges moisture, the blind cap acts like a stopper. Liquid will accumulate inside it, so this element is recommended for use only in sections where condensate formation is minimal, or as a side cover for an inspection tee.
Application:
Most often, this element is used as a removable cover for an inspection opening or as the bottom of a chimney in specific engineering solutions where condensate collection is not required or is organized through other nodes.
Key Features
- Heat retention: The cap has a full layer of insulation (50 mm). This is critical: if you close a sandwich pipe with a simple uninsulated metal plate, a severe "cold bridge" and an ice plug will form in that spot. The insulated cap solves this problem.
- Airtightness: Ensures a tight closure of the channel, preventing cold air intake into the system.
- Access for cleaning: The element is removable. When installed at the bottom of a tee, it can be removed to service the channel.

Selection Tips
- For vertical stacks: If you plan to place this element at the very bottom of the main chimney stack, we still recommend considering a cap with condensate drain. Moisture forms in any chimney, and a blind cap may overflow over time.
- Compatibility: The element fits perfectly into the sockets of our standard tees and pipes.
