Insulated revision tee (cleaning tee with cover, insulated cleaning tee) is a section of the inspection flue used to assess the condition of the flue and to remove soot from the flue. A condensate outlet (with outlet to the side or downwards) is usually added at the base of the inspection. Most often, the next stage (upwards) after the revision fitting is followed by a connection t-piece. The cleaning hatch is structurally a modification of the t-piece with a special cover (the cover may be insulated).
As an alternative to an insulated flue pipe revision tee with a round hatch, the condensate outlet can be used as a cleaning tee which is removable from below.
The insulated flue system is safe and convenient to use, and is certified, CE-marked and complies with the requirements of the current EU standard LVS EN-1856-1.
