Insulated Chimney Inspection Tee 90° with Cap
Description and Purpose
The Inspection Tee is a service module of the chimney system, designed for regular inspection of the flue channel and removal of accumulated soot. Structurally, it is an insulated 90° tee with a side branch that is closed by a hermetic removable cap (cleanout plug).
Why it is needed:
During operation, soot accumulates in the chimney and falls to the bottom. If this element is not provided, soot will block the channel, which can lead to a chimney fire or carbon monoxide poisoning. The inspection tee allows you to easily clean out debris by simply removing the cap.
Included components:
The set includes the tee itself and an insulated end cap with a handle. The insulation inside the cap prevents the unit from freezing and prevents the formation of a "condensate plug" in the maintenance area.
Advantages of the element
- Safety: Provides easy access for the chimney sweep, guaranteeing the fire safety of your home.
- Airtightness: The cap fits tightly onto the spigot, eliminating the intake of cold air (draft leakage), which could impair the chimney's performance.
- Thermal insulation (100 kg/m³): Like the entire system, the element is insulated with dense basalt wool, which eliminates "thermal bridges" in the lower part of the chimney.

Installation Tips
The inspection tee is part of the "base assembly" of the chimney. Follow this order during assembly:
- Bottom: A condensate drain (collector) or a bottom plate is usually installed below the inspection tee.
- Top: The main connection tee (90° or 45°), which connects to the boiler pipe, is mounted above the inspection unit.
- Support: Since this unit is located at the base, it must be supported by a heavy-duty wall bracket.
