Insulated Chimney Tee 90° with Adapter
Description and Purpose
The 90° Tee is the central connection element of the chimney system. It performs a dual function: it connects the horizontal flue pipe from the boiler to the vertical chimney stack and provides access for maintenance.
Important feature:
This module is supplied with a factory-fitted adapter. This element covers the insulation layer on the side inlet and allows for a seamless connection of a standard (single-wall) pipe from the heating appliance to the insulated sandwich chimney. No additional finishing rings or adaptors are needed.
Typically, the tee is installed at the base of the chimney. The main pipe stack is mounted on top, while a condensate trap or a cleanout plug is attached to the bottom.
Advantages of the element
- Ready to install: Thanks to the integrated adapter, you get a complete "Boiler -> Sandwich" connection node out of the box.
- Safety (100 kg/m³): The temperature is highest at the junction of gas flows. Dense basalt insulation protects the node from overheating and burnout, maintaining the high fire safety class (T600) of the structure.
- Durability: The inner liner is made of acid-resistant stainless steel AISI 304L/316L, which is resistant to aggressive condensate.

Installation Tips
The tee carries the weight of the entire structure above it, so it requires proper installation:
- Support: The tee must not be left hanging on the pipes. It must be supported by a wall bracket (base support) or a floor platform.
- Maintenance: Ensure easy access to the bottom of the tee. A condensate collector or a cap is installed there, which needs to be removed for annual chimney sweeping.
- Aerodynamics: If you have an open fireplace or a boiler sensitive to draft, consider using a **45° Tee** — it creates less resistance to flue gases.
