Top Cone Termination IZOKOMPAKT
Description and Purpose
The Top Cone (Tapered Termination) is the finishing element of the IZOKOMPAKT modular system. It is installed at the very top of the chimney stack and acts as a cover that hermetically seals the layer of basalt insulation between the inner and outer pipes.
Why it is important:
Without this element, atmospheric precipitation (rain, snow) would soak directly into the rock wool. Wet insulation loses its thermal properties and deteriorates when frozen. The stainless steel cone prevents this, extending the life of the entire system.
Please note: this element leaves the pipe mouth open. To protect the flue channel from rain entering inside, a rain cap or a deflector must be installed on top of the cone.
Advantages of the element
- Insulation sealing: The design tightly closes the annular gap of the sandwich pipe, preventing the high-density basalt wool (100 kg/m³) from getting wet.
- Durability: The product is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, which withstands aggressive environmental conditions and UV radiation.
- Compatibility: The top landing area allows for easy attachment of any standard chimney endings (rain caps, cowls, spark arrestors).

Installation Tips
For a proper chimney termination:
- Mounting: The cone fits over the outer casing of the last chimney pipe.
- Fixation: Secure the joint between the pipe and the cone with a locking band (clamp). This prevents the element from being blown off by the wind.
- Completion: Do not leave the flue open — install a rain cap or spark arrestor immediately after mounting the cone.
