IZOKOMPAKT T450 - insulated double wall flues
IZOKOMPAKT - twin wall flue pipe system from stainless steel
IZOKOMPAKT is a high quality insulated (insulated or sandwich type) chimney system made of heat and acid resistant stainless steel 0.6mm AISI304L/316L. Modularly mounted insulated stainless steel chimneys consist of an inner chimney (stainless steel 0.6mm thick EN 1.4404/EN 1.4301 (AISI304L/316L)) with 50mm thick insulation (heat-resistant basalt stone wool 1000°C) and an outer casing made of stainless steel, galvanised tin or PE (painted tin with polyester polymer coating). In the case of painted tin, the customer can choose the desired colour from a catalogue of standard colours, adapting it, for example, to the colour of the facade or roof. We use ROCKWOOL basalt wool from Denmark, which protects the chimney pipes from cooling and condensation and improves the performance of the products. This thermal insulation material is designed for operating temperatures up to 1000°C. The inner wall and fasteners of the chimney are made of austenitic stainless acid-resistant heat-resistant steel, the wall thickness is not less than 0.6 mm. Such steel is used in conditions of aggressive environment and high temperature, arising during the operation of the chimney, the steel has high heat resistance and resistance to intergranular corrosion. It retains its high mechanical properties even during long periods of chimney operation. The inner pipe is symmetrically centred in relation to the outer casing, which guarantees quick and easy installation.
Insulated chimney system IZOKOMPAKT is designed for all heating devices that operate on solid fuel (cooker, fireplaces, cooker, sauna cooker, solid fuel boilers) and central heating boilers (standard gas, oil, solid fuel, pellet boilers).
SIA Akvilon produced chimney system is certified, marked with the European quality mark CE, which means that the fire protection parameters of the insulated chimney meet the requirements of the corresponding harmonised standards ES LVS EN-1856-1. Only certified and tested materials are used in production.
Advantages of metal chimneys:
- The round shape of the metal chimney ensures a better draught (the condensate formation boundary is overcome within a few minutes, therefore the destructive effect of combustion products on the inner walls of the chimney is short-lived)
- Stainless steel heats up quickly and the cooling down process is quite slow, thanks to the thermal insulation, which ensures a good draught almost immediately after connecting the heating devices
- Easy and quick installation. The choice of connecting elements of a large chimney helps to install systems of any complexity, quickly solve problems with condensate drainage and chimney cleaning. It is possible to order non-standard elements and produce exactly according to the sketches and dimensions of the customer. The system can be installed in an already built house; it can be installed indoors and run through the roof; it can be located along the outer wall. The part of the chimney above the roof can be made to match the colour of the roof
- Stainless steel is resistant to high temperatures (up to 750C°)
- Light weight construction. Due to its light weight, the chimney system does not require a special base and can be built from any floor of the house
- Perfectly smooth inner wall of the chimney, the chimney pipe does not collect soot.
- Resistant to condensation
- Can be formed into bent shapes to avoid obstacles
- Aesthetic appearance
Attention!!! Non-certified, low quality chimneys are available on the market. To reduce the price manufacturers of such chimney can:
- use thin stainless steel (e.g. 0.5mm or even 0.45mm)
- select cheap unsuitable for chimneys stainless steel grade (e.g. AISI-430, the magnet sticks)
- instead of special heat-resistant basalt wool they use cheaper wool unsuitable for chimneys or even glass wool
- chimney elements are not certified (not tested in special laboratories, fire safety parameters are not determined, etc.)
- they are made only to order, non-standardised elements may impair the installation
Such chimneys can be potentially fire unsafe and lead to a fire. They have no warranties.
The thermal properties of a metal chimney do not allow for poor product presence or improper installation. Damage to the chimney and improper installation of the chimney, damage to the heating system are the main causes of fires caused by the use of heating appliances in 2010. and 2011.
