Round Ventilation Ducts and Fittings
Round Ventilation Ducts and Fittings
Round ductwork forms the basis of efficient air distribution in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. They ensure a controlled supply of fresh air and extraction of stale air, creating a safe and comfortable microclimate. The use of round ducts allows for the creation of an energy-efficient network with minimal pressure loss, which can be easily hidden behind suspended ceilings or harmoniously integrated into exposed industrial interiors.
SIA Akvilon offers a full range of round ducts and fittings for assembling ventilation systems of any complexity. The base material is high-quality DX51D galvanized steel sheet with a dense protective zinc coating (Z275). This reliably protects the parts from rust formation during temperature fluctuations and constant exposure to condensation in exhaust systems. All products sold are certified and fully comply with the strict European standards EN 1505:2000 and EN 1506:2007.
Advantages of Buying from Us
- Constant stock availability: We maintain a significant stock of the most popular duct diameters in our Riga warehouse, allowing us to quickly equip most projects without long waiting times.
- Wide size range and custom orders: The general range of available elements varies from 80 mm to 1250 mm (and up to 1400 mm for specific items). Prompt delivery of specific and non-standard parts tailored to your project needs is also possible.
Advantages of Round Ducts
- Acoustic comfort and optimal aerodynamics: The airflow moves through the round pipe evenly, without forming turbulence zones in the corners. This minimizes resistance and significantly reduces the noise level generated by the system's operation.
- Simple and fast maintenance: Smooth internal walls without corners prevent the accumulation of dust, moisture, and grease, significantly facilitating the planned mechanical cleaning of the ductwork.
Full Range of Elements
In our catalog, you will find all the necessary parts to assemble a ventilation network of any configuration. All components are precisely calibrated and fit together perfectly:
Ducts
Spiral and straight-seam ducts: the foundation of the route. They provide high structural rigidity and minimal airflow resistance.
Fittings
Bends, reducers, and couplings: allow you to change the direction of the route, connect fittings to each other, and securely transition to a different diameter.
Branches and Connections
Tees, crosses, and take-offs: necessary for creating complex branches and tapping into existing straight ducts.
Flow Control
Volume control dampers and backdraft dampers (RSK): ensure precise network balancing and prevent backdraft (cold air entering the room) when the fan is turned off.
Protection and Comfort
Silencers and filter boxes: reduce ductwork noise and protect the system and premises from dust, fluff, and fine aerosols.

Important Installation Aspects
Spigot (Slip Joint) Connection System
The connection of elements is carried out according to the intuitively simple slip joint system principle. All fittings (bends, reducers, dampers) have a nominal spigot size (outer dimension) and are inserted directly inside the round duct. To directly connect two fittings to each other, it is mandatory to use an intermediate part — a ventilation coupling.
Fixation and sealing
After connecting the elements, the section must be rigidly fixed using self-tapping metal screws or blind rivets. To achieve the designed tightness class, the external seams and fixing points should be tightly wrapped with durable self-adhesive aluminum tape.
Vibration dampening
When connecting the steel main to duct fan motors, be sure to use flexible connections (vibration dampers). They break the rigid mechanical link and prevent the transmission of structural hum to the pipes and building floors.
